Heh. I was investigating the WYGLMTT meme and I noticed that there has been a slight (but growing) surge of interest in the phrase – “tap that dinosaur.” Now, I mentioned a possibly gay dinosaur once here, but I think what they were looking for was this thread at Something Awful. Ironically, a tap that thread.

Something Awful member insidion asked a mod to change the thread title to ‘Ay, when you gonna let me tap dat dinosaur?’ Of course, crazy answers followed with no word from the mod on this deep thread at Something Awful.

Also noted was a slight undercurrent of disgust for the meme. Will this become one of those anti-memes? It would still get big, but implode from the small core who hate it with a passion. Heh. Something like this is gonna draw out all kinds of characters, I imagine. Going to be interesting.

But yeah, dinosaur thread battle – tap that dinosaur @ Something Awful!

On a side note, I found out the other day that the Stegasaurus may not have actually had a small brain in its massive tail. Kinda had me more heartbroken than when it was announced Pluto might not be a planet. (I mean, everyone knows Pluto is a dog and can’t be a planet. Now, what Goofy is is another matter entirely. But I’d rather talk Muppets rather than Disney, so moving on…)

Was there a Muppet dinosaur ever? Oh, and what were those movies in the 80s – secret of nimh? One of them had puppets and one was a cartoon, I think.
